View Interiors: William and Mary Style House in Surrey

Jon Barker regularly undertakes commission based projects for both private and corporate clients. Wherever practical he will visit the premises and work closely with the client to produce a detailed brief for the project. This will usually include style of work, colour preferences, size of canvases and framing requirements.

The brief was to produce a total of 17 paintings for this new house in Surrey which was based upon an original Christopher Wren design. “City Life” paintings featuring Paris, Barcelona and London were produced for the hallways and reception rooms, whilst soft, dreamy river motifs and water lily ponds were painted for the bedrooms. The frames which are two tone antique effect gold were selected by the client to key in with the interior design theme.
